Skin Care: Itsy Bitsy Little Spots Called Freckles

Bonjour Manifique!

Have you noticed those little brown spots starting to be visible on your face, shoulders and arms? These spots are called freckles. Freckles are usually small tan spots that are visible on sun exposed skin. These are particularly common in people that are fair, these appear on upper-body skin areas like the cheeks, nose, arms, and upper shoulders.

You can avoid the appearance of freckles by following these tips:

1.) Use sunscreen with SPF.
Ideally, SPF 30 is enough to keep you covered. Use a different sunscreen for the face and body since the skin on the face is more sensitive than the rest of the body. But there are also formulas that were made for both the face and the body like the Shiseido Extra Smooth Sun Protection Lotion.

Fresh scented, light and non greasy on the skin.

MURAD Waterproof Sunblock SPF 30
This sunscreen delivers maximum UVA / UVB protection for active lifestyles.

2.) Use a wide brimmed hat. (Add a little fashion sense with it!)

3.) Protective clothing that can hide your skin from too much sun.

4.) Avoid the sun, during its hottest hours. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (you just won't get freckles but you'll be toasted if you stay too long under the sun during these hours!)

Freckles may be a warning sign of sensitive skin that is highly vulnerable to sunburn and to potential skin cancer. So, don't forget to wear your sunscreen daily!
