theBalm Cosmetics

the Brand:
Based from San Francisco, the company was founded by Marisa Shipman, with a desire to create something fabulous for women out of her own kitchen. Armed with 11 books she bought from Amazon.com, Marisa went into her kitchen, mixed lipbalm and the company was born. theBalm is now a full color cosmetics line that has something for every woman’s fun and fabulous makeup regimen.

I stumbled upon the products of theBalm Cosmetics during my recent visit at the Beauty Bar in the Fort. I used to see their rack but I never had the chance to try the products because I am always in a hurry and I only get the essentials that I need for a gig. Luckily I had some spare time and was able to really check out their lovely products. The packaging of theBalm's products have this 50's feel to it, really fun and flirty.
Bahama Mama a matte bronzer perfect for that sun-kissed look. Php775, Beauty Bar

I was looking for a bronzer that's matte and doesn't change color or too orange for my skin. I found that their Bahama Mama bronzer is just what I was looking for. It's really pigmented and blends easily. The formula contains mica and solica for a sheer yet pigmented finish.

Other theBalm products worth trying:
Hot Mama Blush, it has a peachy pink tone with gold shimmer, Very pigmented, works for light and dark skin tones. The shade is close to NARS' Orgasm. Php775, Beauty Bar

Cabana Boy, a dusty rose cheek color that has a light shimmer to it. Perfect for elegant evenings. Php850,BeautyBar
I will surely go back to Beauty Bar to purchase more bricks from theBalm. Cute packaging, pigmented colors at a reasonable price.
